The OHP-6000 on-hold plus digital audio system plays on digital PBX and key systems. It supports MP3 and WMA (Microsoft Windows Media) audio formats. This easy-to-use audio system can make your business sound OHP-6000 is ready to go right out of the box and does not need to be connected to your computer. The PC connection is strictly optional. You can use your PC and the MessageStudio software (included) to update the content stored in flash memory on your player or you can just plug the unit in and walk away. It comes preloaded with a 55-minute variety of licensed music and thanks for holding messages. With the included MessageStudio software, you can quickly and easily create messages mixed with music on any Windows-compatible desktop PC. The software lets you record unique messages and select background music from a variety of 20 royalty-free music tracks. New audio content is saved as an MP3 file and then transferred to the player's on-board memory via a USB connection or a Smart Media Card. Every OHP 6000 ships with a certificate for a FREE personalized on-hold audio production. You can redeem it when you register your player with the manufacturer. Features include: Auto start after power loss, LCD control panel, flash memory and external memory slot for Smart Media Cards. The system is easily upgradeable and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

It seems that the earlier release had 16mb built in and then they went to 64mb. Having gone through far too many cd players as a music on hold source, this was just what we had been looking for. The model number and other features remained the same (as far as I know) and there are a number of places that are still selling the original version with less memory. Set-up was very easy and the software is also fairly easy to use. If you are shopping around for this product watch for the amount of built in memory. If you want the 64mb version just make sure that's what they are advertising or you might be in for a surprise when you get it.The only problem so far is that it has been several weeks and we still have not received the customized greeting. Other than that this would have been 5 stars.
these onhold machines are easy to use and easy to install messages to. we use strictly the sd ram attachement so we can mail the same message to 6 branchs.
My only criticism is that I wish they were stackable. I have two of the OHP6000 units in production and they have been working reliably and running without interruption for over two years. I am about to buy another for a third MOH source. The music it comes with is very appropriate for professional business use, which means nothing edgy or "out there". You can reprogram or expand the program by inserting an SD flash chip.
The item pictured is the 6000 series and this item model reads "MOH 500e" - There is a HUGE difference between the 2 models. VERY DECEIVING Amazon.
